the four main clinical stations (Cardiovascular, Respiratory, Abdomen and Neurology), followed by individual feedback.
They will also have a 20
minute Communication Skills and a 20 minute History Taking Mock examination

New Format Station 5 (Integrated Clinical
Assessment)
New Station 5
Teaching based on Survey of Past Candidates:
In 2009 the Royal College of Physicians (UK) introduced changes to the format of Station 5 of the PACES examination.
These are detailed on the MRCPUK Website: http://www.mrcpuk.org/PACES/Pages/PACESChanges.aspx
Consequently PassPACES courses now include a Station 5 Mock Examination with the new format
and timing of the MRCP examination. We also continue to provide clinical teaching in Dermatology, Endocrinology, Ophthalmology
and Rheumatology.
In order to ensure that our Station 5 teaching and Mock Examination accurately reflect the scenarios
faced by candidates during the PACES examination PassPACES lecturers carried out a survey of over 300 candidates who
attended PassPACES courses in September/October 2009 and January/February 2010. We are grateful to these past candidates for
giving us detailed accounts of their experiences in Station 5 of the PACES examination upon which we will base our teaching.
